Restaurateur Mary Perez is making a bold comeback. Known around Fort Worth as the “Queen of Sauces,” her enchiladas and smoked-barbecue creations have gained popularity among locals. Now, she’s bringing her two culinary worlds together by uniting the beloved Enchiladas Olé, now named Enchiladas Olé Express with her other barbecue brand Holy Cue, all under one roof at 1208 Magnolia Avenue in Fort Worth.
After years of battling for permits and pouring thousands into short-term liquor licenses, she still couldn’t secure the real deal, only offering her popular enchiladas and other dishes, thus closing the Camp Bowie location. This new venture, named Enchiladas Olé Express, enables her to control the quality, be in the kitchen, and ensure recipes are followed and turn out delicious. The new location will feature a counter-service format for efficiency, but diners can still sit and enjoy their meal.
She’s bringing back favorite dishes like skillet-fried potatoes topped with queso and brisket, and her crave-worthy Holy Cue meatloaf. To maintain the handcrafted quality her fans love, holiday orders will be limited. Most menu items will stay under $16, part of her plan to balance freshness, quality, and affordability. The drink menu is simple, just margaritas and beer.
Opening is slated for just after Thanksgiving. Get ready for enchiladas, brisket, skillets, and the delicious dishes that keep Perez at the top of her game.
The restaurant will be open Tuesday through Sunday with weekend brunch served on both Saturdays and Sundays. Enchilada’s Olé Express/Holy Cue is currently offering every day to-go orders and catering Family Meals with free delivery. Call 817-751-5556 to place an order.
