On Thursday, August 8, or National Whataburger Day, fans of the Texas-based burger chain can purchase one classic Whataburger for just 75 cents, a nod to the company’s founding in 1950 and a celebration to mark its 75th anniversary. The offer is available for one day only, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. local time, through the Whataburger app or website for customers who are rewards members.
To take advantage of the offer, customers must be logged into their Whataburger Rewards account and order through the mobile app or the website.
Starting August 5, Whataburger is rolling out a second series of limited-edition commemorative cups to mark its 75th anniversary. The 32-ounce collector cups will feature three unique designs, one inspired by the iconic 75th table tent, a sleek silver-striped anniversary edition, and a nostalgic A-frame tribute cup. Each design will be released weekly through August 19, available while supplies last.
Founded in Corpus Christi, Whataburger has become a Southern staple known for its signature orange-and-white stripes, made-to-order burgers, and loyal fanbase. The company says this 75-cent anniversary offering is a way to thank customers for being part of their journey for the past seven-and-a-half decades. There are more than 700 Whataburger locations in Texas.
So, mark your calendars and get ready to celebrate 75 years of big burgers and huge Texas flavor. Enjoy that delicious burger!
