In East Plano, the smell of old world, freshly baked bread has people flocking to the new Bread Street Boys. This bakery and pizza shop serves an authentic style of sourdough bread, as well as Italian white, German rye-wheat, German country bread, ciabatta, focaccia, and pizzas.

This brand-new bakery is all about old world authenticity and craft as each loaf and pizza dough begins with natural fermentation, creating a fresh, authentic flavor that takes one back to the bakeries in Eastern Europe.

Bread Street Boys was founded by Yury and Tatiana Stark, who grew up eating traditional European breads that were hearty, flavorful, and made fresh daily. They both baked bread with their grandparents, learning how to bake good healthy bread.

Now, their shelves are stocked with sourdough boules, focaccia, ciabatta, and Italian-style loaves. One bread growing in popularity is the rye-wheat loaf that has a crispy crust and flavorful center.

The same dough philosophy carries over to the artisan pizza menu. Natural fermentation gives the pizzas a chewy interior and crisp edges. The menu includes familiar favorites like pepperoni and margherita, along with more creative options such as Capricciosa, Carbonara, and BBQ chicken.

Bread Street Boys has begun offering sandwiches every weekend at the Dallas Farmers Market. Customers can get the Breadwinner, filled with turkey, lettuce, bacon, a spread with grated cheese and pecans, and peach preserves.

Bread Street Boys’ wholesale production facility is in Plano. Fresh baked goods can be pre-ordered in advance and picked up from the bakery or purchased from one of the local grocery stores and farmer’s markets, which are listed on the bakery’s website.

This new find brings the old-world bread to modern day East Plano, while preserving authentic natural ingredients and flavors.
