Texas Monthly invites you to celebrate what brings Texans together best, the love of local barbecue. Since Texans can never get enough smoked brisket, juicy ribs, and all the fixings, Texas Monthly is launching a brand-new barbecue experience that’s perfect for families, friends, and foodies called the Texas Monthly BBQ Family Reunion. This event will take place on Saturday, September 27, from 6:30 p.m.–10 p.m.
This gathering will showcase eight of the state’s most celebrated barbecue joints all in one place. From smoky Central Texas traditions to East Texas-style favorites, pitmasters will serve delicious meat and flavors that put Texas barbecue on the map. The lineup includes Blood Bros. BBQ, Feges BBQ, Gatlin’s BBQ, Hurtado Barbecue, Pecan Lodge, PODY’S BBQ, Stanley’s Famous Pit BBQ, and Tyler’s Barbeque.
Guests can expect a true Texas-style celebration with live music, dancing, family-friendly activities, and plenty of Lone Star spirit. With a smaller crowd than the magazine’s legendary BBQ Fest, this event gives participants a chance to connect more closely with pitmasters, enjoy shorter lines, and soak up a relaxed, community vibe.
Texas Monthly is partnering with Feeding Texas to support the unified effort for a hunger-free Texas. A portion of all ticket proceeds will be donated to Feeding Texas and the network of food banks across the state.
