Roller skating is making a comeback in Grapevine with the opening of Galaxy Skate. The exciting indoor venue offers a vibrant place for both first timers and longtime skaters to lace up, roll out, and enjoy a mix of classic fun and modern entertainment.

Galaxy Skate transforms a familiar location into something entirely new as the space was once home to a longtime skating rink. The new space offers customers a colorful, high-energy destination designed to appeal to skaters of all ages.

The idea behind Galaxy Skate comes from owner Ashley Reed, who turned a personal passion for roller skating into a full-scale business. It all began as an online skate shop where lessons were also offered, and now Galaxy Skate aims to revamp the skating community of Grapevine by providing a modern, inclusive, and family-friendly environment.

Inside, guests will find a traditional skating rink with music pumping and lights glowing, but skating is only part of the experience. The rink provides a skate shop and also plans to offer an updated arcade, VR rooms, karaoke rooms, and a soft play area to complement the skating experience.

Open skate sessions cater to families and beginners, while dedicated adult skate nights offer a later-night option for experienced skaters looking for a more social atmosphere. Lessons and themed events help newcomers gain confidence and give regulars a reason to keep coming back.

For Grapevine residents, the opening marks the return of a beloved pastime. With no dedicated indoor skating rink in the city for several years, Galaxy Skate fills a noticeable gap in local entertainment.
