As the summer heats up, Whataburger is launching a brand-new line of premium craft beverages called Whatafreshers™. These vibrant, flavorful drinks are designed to help fans beat the Texas heat with loads of flavor.
The first of the beverage lineup debuts July 1. The Prickly Pear Raspberry Whatafresher is a striking drink that blends zesty lemon and tart raspberry with a subtle twist of prickly pear, delivering a refreshing burst of flavor and tang in every sip. Customers can grab the 16-ounce version for $3.69 or size up to 20 ounces for $3.99. And there’s more on the horizon. Whataburger is also gearing up to roll out a new craft-style lemonade.
The excitement doesn’t stop there. To celebrate its 75th anniversary, Whataburger is also releasing a series of limited-edition 32-ounce collectible cups throughout the year. Each collection features a unique design inspired by the brand’s rich history and beloved menu.
Here’s the drop schedule for the limited-edition cups. Collection 1: June 10 – June 30, Collection 2: August 5 – August 25, Collection 3: September 30 – October 20, and Collection 4: December 9 – December 29.
Each set of cups showcases iconic Whataburger themes. Think holiday fun for Halloween and Christmas, nostalgic releases for fan favorites, and even a special edition for National Whataburger Day. The cups are like souvenirs celebrating 75 years of flavor and fun.
Whataburger was founded on August 8, 1950, in Corpus Christi, Texas. It was started by Harmon Dobson, who wanted to create a burger so big that it would take two hands to hold and so good that when you took a bite, you’d say, “What a burger!”. The original location was a small stand, and burgers sold for just 25 cents each. As of mid-2025, there are over 720 Whataburger locations in Texas.
