In a Historic First, Texas A&M Brings Buc-ee’s Favorites to Campus, Transforming Student Life

Texas A&M students just scored big time and road trips to Buc-ee’s are now a thing of the past. Starting August 20, Texas A&M will become the first university in the nation to partner with Buc-ee’s, offering more than 45 of the Texas legend’s most popular products and snacks right on campus. Beaver Nuggets, signature beef jerky, snack packs, and exclusive Buc-ee’s merchandise will now be stocked at three shops at Texas A&M University, including Aggie Express Commons, Aggie Express Hullabaloo, and Creekside Market through Aggie Dining.

This marks the first time in history that Buc-ee’s treats and gear will be sold outside the brand’s iconic travel centers. Aggieland just became the first school in the nation to enjoy the Buc-ee’s experience without leaving campus.

Buc-ee’s and Texas A&M share deep roots that stretch back more than four decades, beginning with Buc-ee’s founder and CEO Arch “Beaver” Aplin III, who earned his degree in construction science from the university in 1980. In 2022, Aplin strengthened that bond with a landmark $50 million gift to establish the Aplin Center, a hub designed to give Aggie students hands-on opportunities in hospitality, retail studies, and food product development.

With this collaboration, Aggie Dining continues its mission to bring innovative, student-loved brands to campus, delivering convenience, community spirit, and now—a taste of Texas tradition.

Buc-ee’s is a Texas-based chain of massive convenience stores and gas stations known for their huge selection of snacks and the quirky beaver mascot. Founded in 1982 by Arch “Beaver” Aplin III, Buc-ee’s has grown into a road trip destination, offering everything from freshly made barbecue, fudge, and kolaches to branded gear and travel essentials. With locations across Texas and expanding into other states, Buc-ee’s is a Texas-sized shopping and food experience.
