Austin pastry chef Amanda Rockman launched Rockman Coffee + Bakeshop in Austin’s Holly neighborhood on October 11. She boasts 20 years of experience as a pastry chef, and the bakery embodies all that she loves – caffeine, gluten, butter, sugar, and booze.
Rockman Bakery’s offerings are plentiful and yummy. The bakery overflows with croissants, both sweet and savory. On the sweet side, there’s the apple almond croissant, churro croissant, a chocolate delight filled with dulce de leche cream and chocolate fudge, topped with cinnamon sugar, and the lemon meringue croissant. There’s also Yum Yum Cake and Snickerdoodle for those with a serious sweet tooth. For savory lovers, the Everything Bagel Croissant is a classic.
Customers can also find delicious bagels and schmear. Bagel choices are plain, white sesame, everything, and the cinnamon sugar bagel, which is available on the weekends. Schmears like garlic herb, French onion dip, and NY cheesecake, will perfectly complement your bagel.
Weekend specials include Sunshine Cake, Chocolate Hazelnut Babka, Strawberry Cheesecake Croissant, Chocolate Chip Cookie Croissant, and Spiced Pecan Kougin Amann. There’s so much more to taste and savor like a variety of coffee drinks, homemade syrups, and plenty of tea. There’s beer like Meanwhile Pilsner or Zilker Icy Boys Lager. Or find Santome Prosecco, Quinta Da Calcada Rose, or Casa Mariol Vermouth. Cocktails come single or in carafes like Sammy Sunrise with orange juice, pineapple juice, and bubbles.
