Dallas is getting a stylish new rooftop hangout called the Monkey Bar on 9, the newest concept from the team behind the popular Mi Cocina Tex-Mex chain. Perched above the ninth floor of the Tru by Hilton Dallas Market Center at 1949 N. Stemmons Freeway, this elevated Tex-Mex experience opens its doors on Friday, June 13.
Monkey Bar on 9 is an offshoot of the secret Monkey Bar at Mi Cocina in Highland Park Village. That speakeasy-style spot falls under the M Crowd Restaurant Group, known for Mi Cocina, The Mercury, and Vaqueros Texas Bar-B-Q. Back when the original Monkey Bar opened, it was a low-key lounge for insiders only. This new version is no secret and is for those 21 and up looking to socialize and enjoy great cocktails and mouth-watering food.
Among sweeping views of the downtown skyline, guests can relax and socialize in an indoor-outdoor setup that offers a delicious drink list. Enjoy an array of tequilas, mezcals, and handcrafted margaritas, such as the jalapeño honey margarita or the Monkey Bar Mambo Taxi. Choose a variety of creative cocktails made with cold-pressed juices. Sip on Clase Azul or try something bold and new, there’s a drink for every vibe. Pair it all with a menu of shareable Tex-Mex bar bites, including queso, guacamole, brisket tacos, Crispy Tacos Chicos, and loaded nachos.
Monkey Bar on 9 will welcome guests 21 and up, with hours from 4–10 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 2–10 p.m. Friday through Sunday.
