Houston’s Heights neighborhood welcomes a fresh hangout destination that boasts the longest bar in Texas. Kirby Ice House is set to open its fourth location on August 29, 2025, located at 1421 North Loop West in the Shady Acres area.
The sprawling, new spot covers 3.5 acres, featuring 24,000 square feet of combined indoor and outdoor space. More than 800 customers can enjoy what is supposedly the longest bar in Texas, stretching 146 feet, that makes grabbing a drink quicker and more convenient than ever.

Kirby Ice House has built its reputation on creating laid-back, welcoming spaces, and the new Heights location keeps that tradition alive. The bar focuses on comfort and community, serving a broad selection of beer, cocktails, and wine, while also featuring a rotation of food trucks, outdoor games, and more than 40 high-definition TVs showing sports and live events.
