Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers® opened in McKinney on November 4, 2025, bringing its signature cooked-to-order steakburgers, all-beef hot dogs, and crispy shoestring fries to local diners. The family-friendly, welcoming restaurant also offers Freddy’s famously creamy frozen custard, freshly churned throughout the day for the perfect sweet finish.
At Freddy’s, everything is made fresh daily. Each steakburger starts with 100% lean ground beef, pressed thin on the grill to create those signature crispy edges that fans love. Every patty is seasoned with Freddy’s Famous Steakburger and Fry Seasoning, cooked to order, and served hot with your choice of toppings.
Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers serves up classic American favorites with a fresh twist. Menu highlights include its signature Original Double Steakburger, featuring thin, crispy-edged patties layered with cheese, mustard, onions, and pickles. Guests can try the hearty Bacon & Cheese Double, stacked high with smoky bacon and melted American cheese. Or there’s the Patty Melt, served on toasted rye with Swiss cheese and grilled onions. Rounding out the menu are all-beef hot dogs, crispy shoestring fries, cheese curds, and chili cheese fries. For dessert, Freddy’s freshly churns its rich frozen custard throughout the day, featured in shakes, sundaes, and concretes packed with sweet mix-ins, perfectly complemented by seasonal treats like the Lemon Cream and Orange Cream Frosts.

The new 2,500-square-foot location seats 52 guests indoors and offers additional patio seating for those who prefer to dine outside. Guests can enjoy the convenience of a drive-thru, as well as online ordering through the Freddy’s website and mobile app.
Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers was co-founded in 2002 by brothers Bill and Randy Simon with their friend and business partner, Scott Redler. It was named in honor of Bill and Randy’s father.
